Wow! I must say the ending didn't go where I thought it was thankfully. Eat Food in town even before the ride up.. not only will it help keep you warmer but alert.

In another bit of praise for Boulders Police I'll contribute that the other night after leaving Starbucks (Yes, that corporate pig of a coffee shop) my truck has daytime running lights, which I'll spare a tirade on now, anyways I pulled out down the road driving happy as I will with my full headlights on and not noticing anything awry when an office pulls up next to me in the turn lane to inform me that my tail lights were out but my break lights worked. I thanked her very much and told her I'd obviously just forgot to turn on the lights and she smiled and went about her business. I was VERY impressed.

Anyways, there's my kind words regarding Boulder's Police. Glad you had a similar encounter.

Geeze, you don't need a police officer to tell you you're an idiot - we can oblige you at work here any time! :-D

Seriously - Ride safe. This is the most dangerous time of year for us - rusty skills, cagers not used to having bikes around, freaky weather, and sandy / icy roads mean you've got to have your head on 100%. Munch a granola bar before heading home next time.
